Catering - H & B Hawkes Ltd
H&B Hawkes Ltd a catering supply business were finding themselves increasingly encouraged by their clients to use e-commerce and online ordering. This prompted them to contact us and explore the possibility of developing a new method of operation.
They were already using a character-based system, which did not offer the flexibility, or functionality that our system could. In addition when they explored the possibility of updating their package the upgrade proved to be cost prohibitive.
After offering them a demonstration H&B were delighted to find that we already had the answer to their problem and only four months later we had installed, tested and they were ready to go-live.
Adrian Finn, from H&B described the installation of the system as “ a turning point for our business, we have noticed significant improvements in our working practises and can already see many of the benefits.”
The new system enables them to automatically produce orders, alleviating the time consuming task of manually inputting data and cross checking. The bespoke package has allowed them to address a number of issues and encouraged them to look at the wider implications of upgrading their system.
Using our webservices has put H&B Hawkes in even greater control of their business, webservices is a fully integrated feature of both Chefserve and Freshware and works with any of our windows based trading/accounting packages.
With ‘webservices’ we have created a generic web site that the user can change as they wish, this offers companies such as H&B a quick and easy web presence, which is easily maintained, thus enhancing their market profile.
For H&B we created client and supplier log in facilities and the opportunity for prospective clients to access online services such as price enquiries.
