Packers - Holme Farm
Holme Farm growers and packers based in Boston, Lincolnshire have been using the Affinitus Freshware system to help them with their very specific business needs.
Previously using the Unix based Prodigy system; Holme Farm recently made the transition to the Windows based Freshware solution. Jon Welberry said “ although there were some initial, inevitable transitional problems, the system will offer greater functionality and will be more user friendly in the long term.”
As growers and packers, Holme Farm is handling not only homegrown produce but also third party suppliers and the need for accurate business data is high priority.
Freshware has enabled Holme Farm to access data about individual field yield, harvesting and procurement.
In addition Freshware has provided Holme Farm with customised data fields giving information about labour costs, piece rates, unit costs per item produced – helping them to manage their own costs and collate important data with ease.
We have also worked with Holme Farm to develop a grower ticket entry screen offering comprehensive grower/harvester data. The ability to create bespoke solutions using the Freshware system is one of its greatest assets
